In this vital role, you will support attorneys by managing a wide array of legal tasks related to workers' compensation claims and personal injury cases. Your expertise will help streamline case processes, ensure accurate documentation, and facilitate effective communication with clients, medical providers, and insurance carriers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful litigation while honing your legal support skills in a fast-paced environment committed to excellence. Duties Assist attorneys in managing workers' compensation and personal injury cases from inception through resolution, including case intake, document collection, and filing. Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools to support case strategy and legal arguments. Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and correspondence with clients and third parties. Organize and maintain case files using document management systems ensuring all records are accurate, complete, and compliant with procedural law requirements. Interview clients, witnesses, medical providers, and insurance representatives to gather relevant information for case development. Support litigation activities by reviewing documents for relevance and confidentiality, preparing exhibits for court filings, and assisting with trial preparation. Manage deadlines and calendar schedules related to case filings, hearings, depositions, and other critical dates to ensure timely compliance. Skills Proven paralegal experience supporting workers' compensation law or personal injury law cases with a strong understanding of procedural law. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Effective client communication skills; ability to interview clients professionally and handle confidential information discreetly. Knowledge of civil litigation support processes including filing procedures, document management, proofreading, and data entry. Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for drafting documents and reports; experience with legal research tools like Westlaw or LexisNexis is required. Excellent organizational skills combined with professional phone etiquette to coordinate effectively among clients, attorneys, courts, and external agencies.
