We are a small but busy boutique law firm with a primary focus on 1st party property insurance claims. In addition to insurance, we also take on a smaller amount of personal injury, products liability and construction negligence cases. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, have excellent research and writing skills, as well as the ability to exercise sound judgment, and think creatively. Our law firm is small but growing rapidly and full of energy! The primary responsibilities of this job will include dealing with prelitigation data entry, among other tasks. This is an entry level position and I'm looking to provide performance based reviews and raises. There is a lot of opportunity for growth with our firm, and we all work closely together as a team to keep things running seamlessly.
Job duties may include:
Obtain, review and analyze documents, damage records, or any other relevant information Compile evidence and supporting information by searching records, discovery documents, transcripts, libraries, and databases Manage files and documents Coordinate with support services and clients, opposing law firms, and courts Manage court docket calendar Generate status reports, logs, and indexes Correspond with clients and opposing law firms Legal research Research and analysis of case issues Perform additional duties as required
Requirements:
1+ years of insurance or personal injury experience preferred Must be highly organized and detailed-oriented Independent and capable self-starter who can effectively manage a case load Ability to work and keep up in a fast-paced environment Ability to schedule and draft pleadings Claims adjusting experience is a plus! Ability to adapt quickly in new environments and quickly establish trust Ability to understand legal documents and contracts Excellent communication skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to take direction and instruction from Attorneys General knowledge of the Personal Injury and First Party claims process Must have excellent verbal, written and phone skills Must be responsible and organized Must be professional in all surroundings and situations Certified Paralegal preferred but not required. We will train the right individual! Fully computer literate
