Job Description

Description Robert Half is seeking a Legal Assistant for a well-established law firm in downtown Chicago. This position will support attorneys in a busy litigation and workers' compensation practice and is ideal for a professional with strong law firm experience who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in litigation and workers' compensation matters.

+ Draft, edit, and format legal correspondence.

+ Maintain electronic and physical case files.

+ Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and court dates.

+ Coordinate filings and service of legal documents.

+ Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors.

+ Assist with trial preparation and case management support.

Requirements Qualifications:

+ Minimum of 3 years of legal assistant experience within a law firm environment.

+ Prior experience supporting litigation matters required.

+ Workers' compensation, insurance defense, or tort litigation experience preferred.

+ Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.

+ Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.
