Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant

Job Description

Experienced Legal Secretary / Legal Administrative Assistant Paul Rossi Law is seeking an experienced, professional, and detail-oriented Legal Secretary / Legal Administrative Assistant to join our growing practice. We are looking for a dependable team member who can contribute quickly with minimal supervision and enjoys working in a professional, client-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have prior legal office experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. Responsibilities Process client payments and maintain accurate financial records. Prepare client correspondence, legal letters, invoices, and other office communications. Schedule appointments and manage attorney calendars, court dates, and filing deadlines. Prepare and format wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other routine legal documents. Assist with document preparation and administrative support for our criminal law practice. Electronically file pleadings, motions, orders, and other court documents using Indiana's electronic filing system. Communicate professionally with clients, courts, attorneys, and other professionals. Maintain organized client files and ensure documents are accurate and complete. Provide general administrative support in the daily operation of a busy law office. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: Prior legal secretary or legal administrative experience. Experience with Indiana court procedures and electronic filing. Experience preparing basic estate planning documents, including simple wills and trusts, is a plus. Experience supporting criminal law matters is a plus. Excellent Microsoft Word, Outlook, and general computer skills. Exceptional grammar, spelling, proofreading, and document formatting abilities. Outstanding organizational and time-management skills. The ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Professional communication skills and a strong commitment to client service.
