We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our team and support our attorneys in providing top-notch service to our clients.
Position Overview:
The Personal Injury Paralegal will play a crucial role in assisting our legal team by managing case files, preparing legal documents, and facilitating communication between clients and attorneys. Your expertise and organizational skills will help ensure a thorough and efficient case process for our clients who are navigating challenging moments in their lives.
Requirements Key Responsibilities:
Document Management:
Draft, review, and organize legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and client correspondence.
Case File Organization:
Maintain and manage active case files to ensure all necessary documentation is available for attorneys and clients.
Discovery and Evidence:
Assist attorneys in the discovery process, including gathering evidence, summarizing documents, and organizing case-related materials.
Client Interaction:
Serve as a liaison between clients and attorneys, providing case updates and answering client inquiries with professionalism and compassion.
Calendar Management:
Track important deadlines and manage the legal calendar for hearings, depositions, and administrative tasks.
Trial Preparation:
Assist in preparing exhibits and trial materials, ensuring everything is organized and ready prior to court appearances.
Legal Research:
Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries or reports as needed by attorneys.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field preferred; paralegal certification is a plus.
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a personal injury law firm is strongly preferred.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively on multiple assignments at once.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
Team-Oriented:
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, showing a strong commitment to client service.
