Our firm handles matters across multiple practice areas, and we are looking for a dependable professional who can manage a varied caseload, prioritize competing deadlines, and provide strong support to our attorneys and clients. Experience required. While experience is essential, training will be provided to familiarize the successful candidate with our firm's procedures, case-management systems, filing practices, and internal workflows. Responsibilities The Paralegal's responsibilities will include: Assisting attorneys with matters across multiple practice areas; Drafting and preparing pleadings, correspondence, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, notices, and other legal documents; Preparing documents for attorney review and filing; E-filing pleadings and other documents with state, appellate, and local courts; Maintaining organized electronic and physical client files; Managing attorney calendars, court dates, deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and other case-related events; Communicating professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and other professionals; Obtaining and organizing records, discovery materials, financial documents, and other evidence; Monitoring cases to ensure deadlines and outstanding tasks are addressed; Proofreading documents for accuracy, formatting, spelling, grammar, names, dates, case numbers, and other important details; and Providing general administrative and litigation support as necessary. Qualifications The successful candidate must have prior experience working as a paralegal, legal assistant, or in a comparable law firm position. This is not an entry-level position.

Candidates must also:

Be exceptionally detail-oriented and organized; Have demonstrated experience working in a law office or legal environment; Be able to manage multiple cases, assignments, and deadlines simultaneously; Possess strong written and verbal communication skills; Be comfortable learning and working in multiple practice areas; Have strong computer and document-management skills; Be able to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team; Exercise professionalism, discretion, and good judgment when handling confidential information; Be dependable, punctual, and capable of following assignments through to completion; Be willing and able to learn the firm's specific systems, procedures, and expectations; Provide professional references; and Successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment. Because our firm handles multiple practice areas, the successful candidate must be comfortable transitioning between different types of cases and learning the particular requirements of each area. We will provide training on our systems and procedures, but candidates must bring a solid foundation of prior legal experience, professionalism, and attention to detail. Experience is required.
