Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a well-seasoned Senior Paralegal to join our family law firm. In this vital role, you will provide advanced legal support for family law cases. Your expertise will help streamline case management, facilitate legal research, and support attorneys in delivering exceptional service to clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex legal projects for the firm owner and associate attorney. Results are rewarded at this firm! Duties Manage and organize legal documents, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Conduct comprehensive legal research. Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, deeds, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Assist attorneys with case preparation by reviewing documents, managing discovery processes efficiently and assembling thorough trial binders . Coordinate project management tasks for ongoing cases, ensuring deadlines are met through effective scheduling and communication. Communicate with clients or witnesses to gather pertinent information while maintaining professional confidentiality standards. Support administrative functions including data entry, filing, maintaining client files in Practice Panther or other systems, and handling confidential information securely. Provide executive administrative support by managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence related to legal matters. Utilize legal research tools to gather relevant case law and statutory information for various practice areas. Assist with procedural law compliance across different jurisdictions and ensure all filings adhere to court rules. Conduct signing meetings and notarize documents. Answer overflow calls. Requirements Proven experience as a paralegal or legal support professional with a strong background in family law. Demonstrated proficiency with legal research. Extensive experience with legal case management software like Practice Panther and document management systems on a dedictated server. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration. Knowledge of procedural laws across jurisdictions to ensure compliance in filings and court procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word processing, Excel) for drafting documents and managing data entry tasks. Experience handling case files for attorney support in trials. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly with high ethical standards. Exceptional proofreading skills for accurate documentation. Experience with a multi-line phone system. Must not be shy about wrangling attorneys so that all deadlines are met. Bonus Qualifications Experience training others. Experience creating or adding to SOPs.
