$70,000-$107,500, commensurate with experience Position Overview We are seeking a seasoned Criminal Law/Family Law Paralegal/Legal Assistant with strong, verifiable New Jersey criminal law/family law experience to support attorneys in a fast-paced practice. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing multiple matters and deadlines. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is required. Responsibilities Manage and maintain case files from intake through resolution. Prepare and file pleadings, motions, affidavits, correspondence, discovery requests, and other legal documents . Review, organize, and summarize criminal discovery, including police reports, evidence, witness information, and related records. Assist attorneys with court preparation, hearings, trials, plea negotiations, and case strategy . Coordinate with clients, courts, prosecutors, opposing counsel, and other parties. Maintain accurate case calendars, deadlines, appointments, and follow-ups. Prepare trial binders, exhibits, chronologies, and other attorney-ready materials. Conduct factual/legal research and assist with case preparation as directed. Communicate with clients in both English and Spanish while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Track and document billable paralegal work . Requirements Significant, verifiable New Jersey criminal law/family law experience required . Bilingual English/Spanish required . Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office . Strong knowledge of NJ criminal/family and municipal court procedures. Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently, multitask, take initiative, and meet deadlines . Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $107,500.00 per year
