We are currently searching for a Legal Assistant to join our team, help us serve our clients, and continue our tradition of success. This role and the ideal candidate will be a professional who is willing to learn, pays attention to detail, and is a great communicator. The Legal Assistant is a skilled professional with a positive approach and delightful disposition to join our team. Responsible for performing general legal support and administrative duties particularly in probate and estate planning matters. Will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy. Will be responsible for completing a variety of administrative tasks and projects as assigned. Job Descriptions Role and Responsibilities

Preparing and processing legal documents, letters, and forms from dictation or written format, such as motions, notices, petitions, and accountings.
Proofreading, mailing, faxing, and/or arranging for delivery and pickup of legal correspondence to clients, witnesses, beneficiaries, and court officials.
Notarizing legal documents.
Examining status of files, daily reviews, releases, incoming mail, and court docket to determine next course of action; updating accordingly in the file management software.
Preparing, calculating, and maintaining financial records for accountings, including receipts and disbursements.
Provides general administrative support for attorneys as requested.
Ensures accurate recordkeeping and distributes information to appropriate internal staff and external parties as needed.
Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School diploma or GED
Paralegal certification and/or law firm experience preferred.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and successfully complete tasks with regular interruptions throughout the day Customer-service focus with a positive attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees across all levels of the organization Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive) with ability to learn other Company software systems Actively demonstrates confidentiality and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature Preferred experience and skills

Associate degree or two years' work experience Physical Requirements/Work Environment
