Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Probate Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join our dynamic and growing law firm. Looking for someone to work 25-30 hours per week consisting of ideally 5-6 hours per day, Monday-Friday. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support estate planning and probate cases, providing essential administrative and legal assistance. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, work well with other support staff, and passionate about delivering exceptional support. You will play a vital role in managing case files, conducting legal research, drafting documents, and ensuring smooth case progression. This position is perfect for someone looking to grow their legal career in a fast-paced, supportive environment while working part-time hours. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a law firm setting with probate experience preferred, but not required. Duties Assist attorneys with estate planning, probate proceedings, trust administrations, and related legal and administrative tasks Draft and review legal documents including wills, trusts, probate forms, pleadings, and correspondence Self-sufficient with prioritizing tasks and workload Manage case files using document management software Perform document review, data entry, and filing to ensure accurate record keeping Coordinate client meetings and gather necessary information for estate administration Organizing case materials and files Proofread documents for accuracy and clarity Maintain organized schedules for court deadlines and appointments Provide administrative support including phone etiquette, scheduling meetings, and managing correspondence Skills Familiarity with filing in various local court systems Experience with legal case management software Proficiency in document management systems and data entry, including Microsoft Word and Excel Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently Effective interviewing skills to gather detailed client information accurately Demonstrated writing skills for drafting correspondence Attention to detail for proofreading and reviewing complex legal materials Strong project management abilities to handle multiple cases simultaneously Clerical experience including filing, recordkeeping, and administrative support functions Professional phone etiquette
