Thorp Purdy is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join their team in Springfield, OR. Responsibilities:

Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys and legal staff Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings Manage and organize case files, records, and legal documentation Schedule appointments, hearings, depositions, and court deadlines Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel Conduct legal research and compile information as directed by attorneys File documents with courts electronically and in person as required

Requirements:

Prior experience (five years) as a legal assistant, paralegal, or in a law office setting preferred Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information Associate's degree or certificate in paralegal studies or related field is a plus
