Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. This vital role involves providing comprehensive support to family law attorneys, managing case files, coordinating client communications, and ensuring the smooth operation of legal processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for helping clients navigate complex family law matters. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal support expertise in a collaborative and professional environment. Duties Assist attorneys with preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements related to family law cases Manage and organize case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw Conduct legal research on family law statutes, procedural law, and relevant case law using LexisNexis and Westlaw Schedule and coordinate client meetings, court appearances, and mediations while maintaining effective communication with clients Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with procedural requirements Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism at all times Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, answering phones with proper etiquette, and maintaining organized records Skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently Effective client communication skills combined with professional phone etiquette Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for document creation and correspondence Experience handling confidential information with integrity and discretion Ability to perform detailed proofreading and transcription tasks accurately Join us to be part of a team committed to delivering exceptional legal support in family law cases.
