Part-Time Legal Assistant Company Overview:
The Law Office of Charles Raadt, P.L.L.C. is a local law firm specializing in criminal, federal, juvenile, family law, and mediations. As a small firm committed to serving the community and helping those in need, we provide a unique opportunity for legal assistants to gain hands-on experience in the legal profession. Our firm seeks a part-time legal assistant to work 20 hours per week.
Legal Assistant Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with client relationships and management, including intake and maintaining client records. Support attorneys in preparing for court hearings, mediations, and trials. Learn to create and file motions necessary for the firm's clients. Contribute to the firm's promotion and marketing efforts by developing strategies to enhance its online presence.
Learning Objectives:
Gain practical experience in the legal profession by working directly with practicing attorneys. Develop skills in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) through mediation opportunities. Enhance understanding of legal processes, including document preparation and court proceedings. Build professional networks with court staff, attorneys, and judges in Hidalgo County.
