Legal Assistant - Join Our Team We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Legal Assistant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will provide critical administrative and clerical support to our attorneys, ensuring the efficient operation of the firm. You will serve as a primary point of contact for clients and play a key role in the preparation of legal documents, file management, and court deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Document Preparation:
Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery requests.
Calendar Management:
Maintain attorney calendars, schedule depositions, hearings, and client meetings, and track all court-mandated deadlines (statutes of limitations, filing dates).
Case Management:
Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files from inception through closing; perform data entry in Case Management Software Clio.
Court Filings:
Handle electronic filings (E-filing) in state and federal courts.
Client Communication:
Serve as the first point of contact for clients; screen calls, provide case status updates, and intake new client information.
Administrative Support:
Manage incoming/outgoing mail, and assist with billing and time-entry tasks.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Tech Savvy:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with legal document management systems.
Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
Soft Skills:
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines with minimal supervision and extreme attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with local court rules and procedures.

Notary Public commission (or willingness to obtain).
Benefits:
