Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized legal assistant or paralegal for a solo family law attorney. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support within a fast-paced law office with a strong attention to detail. This full-time role requires strong organization skills and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Duties Provide comprehensive administrative support to solo family law practitioner; Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls and emails with clients and attorneys in a courteous and professional manner; Communicate effectively with clients and court personnel while maintaining high level of professionalism; Schedule client meetings, court dates, mediations and attorney appointments; Prepare, format, proofread, and file legal documents and correspondence; File and manage legal case files, ensuring all documentation is organized and up-to-date; Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while managing multiple tasks effectively; and Ensure office supplies and administrative resources are stocked and organized. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or administrative training preferred. Prior paralegal, administrative or legal office experience preferred and likely required. Experience in a family law or law firm setting is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft office, email and office management software. Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation. Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills. A paralegal certification or relevant educational background/experience is advantageous. Living within the Delavan/Walworth County area preferred.
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
