PARKING METER OFFICERS

POSITIONS- PUBLIC SAFETY

Town of Huntington 100 Main Street Huntington, NY 11743 •Job Posting•(2) Parking Meter Officer (Part Time) Positions Department of Public Safety General duties include issuing summonses in the enforcement of local ordinances pertaining to the following: metered parking, use of Handicapped spaces without the proper certification, parking in designated No Parking, No Standing No Stopping zones, as well as other violations of the Town of Huntington Traffic Code. Additional duties include, routine checks for muni meter functionality and assisting the Meter Division. Minimum qualifications include, High School Diploma or possession of a High School Equivalency Diploma. All applicants must have a valid NYS drivers license and the ability to pass a background check. Starting salary - $21.77 per hour Flexible hours Monday through Saturday 10am-8pm Must be available 20 hours per week Additional hours up to 40 hours a week are available May 15- September 15 Individuals wishing to be considered for the above position must submit a written application to the Personnel Office.
