Job Description

BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this position is to enforce parking regulations to appropriate drivers. This is accomplished by issuing parking tickets when necessary. Other duties include directing traffic; covering cahier duties in the city. # Code Essential Functions % of Time 1 L Issues parking tickets by gathering equipment; performing patrol duties; maintaining focus on offending vehicles; executing necessary disciplinary actions; showing self-control in all situations; and providing information to the offender on how the ticket can be paid for. 50% 2 L Directs traffic, gives directions, and reports accidents by standing in the streets directing traffic through or directing to a stop; using radio to call dispatcher for reporting accidents or crimes; and ensuring that the flow of traffic is maintained in all situations. 35% 3 S Acts as Cashier for the City garage by taking cash; giving change to customers; and presenting appropriate tickets for those using the garage. 15%
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Certification & Other Requirements Valid Class C driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania All persons who shall become employed by the City, on or after January 01, 1997, shall be or become residents of the City within six (6) months from the first date the employee achieves permanent employment status. All new employees, once their residence in the City is established, shall be required to maintain residence within the City during their employment. Failure to do so shall be determined to be a forfeiture of employment. Must pass a background check, Drug Test and the PA Child Abuse History Clearance check.
