- Thursday We are seeking a dedicated Parking Lot Security Officer to join our security team, responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within parking facilities.
This role involves monitoring access points, patrolling the premises, and ensuring the safety of all visitors, staff, and property. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a proactive approach to security, and excellent customer service abilities. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the safety and efficiency of our parking operations through vigilant surveillance and incident management. Duties Conduct regular patrols of parking areas using CCTV systems and physical patrols to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access. Manage access control systems to verify authorized vehicles and personnel entering or leaving the premises. Monitor surveillance equipment continuously to identify suspicious activities or security breaches. Respond promptly to emergencies, including accidents, medical incidents, or security threats, following established emergency response procedures. Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events accurately and promptly. Perform background checks on visitors or contractors as required to ensure compliance with security policies. Enforce parking regulations and assist visitors with directions or inquiries in a professional manner. Handle conflict de-escalation situations effectively while maintaining a calm and respectful demeanor. Conduct physical security measures such as manual handling of barriers or equipment when necessary. Support loss prevention efforts by observing for suspicious behavior and intervening when appropriate. Assist in performing routine safety inspections and ensuring compliance with security regulations. Utilize law enforcement knowledge when necessary to coordinate with authorities during incidents involving criminal activity. Experience Candidates should have prior experience in security roles, preferably within environments requiring surveillance, law enforcement coordination, or military background. Experience with emergency response procedures such as
CPR, AED
operation, first aid, and Taser use is highly desirable. Familiarity with CCTV systems, access control technologies, and manual handling techniques is essential. Proven ability to write comprehensive incident reports and perform background checks will be advantageous. Strong skills in conflict management, heavy lifting when required for physical security tasks, and adherence to safety protocols are critical for success in this role. Candidates must demonstrate excellent customer service skills combined with a thorough understanding of physical security measures and loss prevention strategies.
