Job Description

The Parking Manager will provide direct supervision of parking staff. Functions as advisor to unit and administration and sets goals and objectives for team members. Analyzes and resolves problems through drawing from prior experiences. Interprets policies (e.g., fiscal management, HR, contracts and grants, resource management in defined areas) and demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge. Supervise, train, and aid in the hiring of parking leads and parking attendants. Define seasonal budget and adjust staff for daily needs.

Provides leadership and management to the Parking Attendant staff with on-site presence Manages employee scheduling, work assignments, communication, and personnel development Evaluates employees performance, gives regular feedback, and conducts annual performance reviews Monitors work activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Makes recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards, policies and procedures Oversees budget Lead the development of new programs, policies and other special assignments related to the event parking operations as needed. Manages the program and operations for Powder Mountain parking and satellite parking locations Design educational staff training modules that include detailed job orientation at the start of employment as well as through regular staff meetings and ongoing training to ensure regulatory compliance Collects daily parking data and statistics to improve overall resort parking experience Manages the enforcement of parking payment violations and communicates appeals professionally Maintains parking permit database Requirements and/or
Qualifications:
Strong leadership and management skills Ability to organize processes and people Must be able to work independently, make decisions and problem solve Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and foster a teamwork atmosphere. Ability to maintain current, accurate documentation and comply with all Federal, State and local regulations, Powder Mountain policies and procedures, and relevant industry standards. Knowledge, skill and competency in working with diverse populations Ability to respond appropriately and in a timely manner to emergencies and crisis situations Skilled at providing workshops, training, and outreach programs Proficiency with computer software, especially Google platform. Flexibility to work days or nights as operations needs dictates 3-5 years' experience overseeing vehicle flow and parking attendance. Experience with event parking or large parking operations College degree - preferred 21 years or older
Diploma or GED Required Physical Requirements:
Full range of body movements Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (30+ pounds) Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and twisting Walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain Climb/descend stairs Manual dexterity to operate manual tools and power equipment on a constant basis Safely handle hazardous materials
Working Environment:
Work is performed primarily outside and is exposed to extreme temperatures, sun and wind, inclement weather (rain, snow, ice) and high altitudes (9,000ft+). Team Members can be exposed to engine noise and exhaust. Team Members will be working around moving machines/equipment. Parking lot surfaces are compacted snow/ice and can become slippery.
