Duties Help The Administrive Office of the U.S. Courts (AO), Department of Program Services, Probion and Pretrial Services Office, Training and Safety Division is seeking a highly-organized and self-motived Supervisory Probion Administror (Training & Skills Branch Chief) to manage and lead the Training & Skills Branch (TSB). This position reports to the Training and Safety Division Chief. The Supervisory Probion Administror (Training & Skills Branch Chief) position is designed as a secondary law enforcement position responsible for providing training for new federal probion and pretrial services officers the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center's Federal Probion and Pretrial Academy in Charleston, S.C. This position works in collaborion with other division and branch chiefs to advance projects and activities in support of the Probion and Pretrial Services Office's mission. Specialized duties include, but are not limited to: Managing the TSB's daily operions and administrive activities, including managing short- and long-term goals and ensuring the integrion of branch initiives with broader Probion and Pretrial Services Office objectives. Overseeing and managing the Initial Probion and Pretrial Training program. Overseeing the development, implemention, and evaluion of the the Federal Probion and Pretrial Academy training and skills curricula. Supporting the Federal Law Enforcement Training Accredition for the Federal Probion and Pretrial Academy and its associed programs. Developing and implementing research-based training and skills programs. Serving as a liaison between the Probion and Pretrial Services Office and the Federal Probion and Pretrial Academy and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, ensuring necessary training informion is submitted in a timely manner. Providing expert consultion and advisory services on the federal probion and pretrial services system's training and skills policies and procedures to the Training and Safety Division Chief, Probion and Pretrial Services Office Chief and Deputy Chief, other AO executives, the Committee on Criminal Law of the Judicial Conference of the United Stes (JCUS), other JCUS committees, court unit executives, and court staff. Serving as a subject mter expert and providing oversight for the Federal Probion and Pretrial Academy training and skills policies and procedures. Providing fiscal oversight for TSB expenditures, including the development, justificion, and execution of the branch's budget. Generalized duties include, but are not limited to: Managing all aspects of staff supervision, including assigning and reviewing work, and completing a full range of personnel actions, such as tracking time and tendance, training and professional development, conducting performance appraisals, and fostering a collaborive team environment. Conducting comprehensive research and trend analysis to provide da-driven recommendions for the enhancement of nional programs such as adult educion and stregic curriculum design. Collaboring with the Firearms and Safety Branch Chief to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the Federal Probion and Pretrial Academy operions. Representing the interests of the AO and PPSO in high-level engagements with senior leadership across federal law enforcement agencies. Cultiving and maintaining stregic partnerships with other U.S. probion and pretrial services offices to ensure requests for assistance from other districts are consistently applied. Specialized Experience :
Applicants must have least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience in each of the following: Developing, implementing, and evaluing probion or pretrial services training curricula. Providing leadership and administrive oversight of personnel. Educion The basic qualificions can be met in one of three ways: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Combinion of educion and experience th provides the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Four years of approprie experience demonstring the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
