They are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Safety Director to join their team.
Role Description:
As the Safety Director, you will be responsible for leading safety initiatives and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards. You will develop and implement comprehensive safety policies, conduct training sessions, and perform regular audits to identify and mitigate risks within operations. Your expertise will play a vital role in fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures
Conduct safety training and orientation programs for employees
Perform risk assessments and identify potential hazards in the workplace
Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
Investigate accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections
Collaborate with various departments to promote safety practices
Prepare safety reports for management and regulatory agencies
Develop and implement emergency response plans
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in safety practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
Proven experience in safety management within the mechanical industry
In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Certification in safety management (e.
g., CSP, CHST) is a plus
