Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Generalist
Part-Time (20 Hours/Week, Focus on LOTO)
Job Type:
Part-Time (20 hours per week) Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented EHS Generalist to support our Environmental Health & Safety programs with a specific focus on Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) compliance. This position is part-time, requiring approximately 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations, particularly in the area of energy control procedures (LOTO), and will focus on ensuring compliance and education across our operation. Key Responsibilities
Implement and maintain the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program in accordance with OSHA standards and company policies.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with LOTO procedures.
Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on LOTO requirements.
Ability to create/revise existing procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
Stay current with federal, state, and local safety regulations and ensure compliance.
Contribute to broader EHS initiatives as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field.
At least 2 years of experience in EHS, with a focus on Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Knowledge of OSHA standards, particularly 29 CFR 1910.147 (LOTO).
Ability to conduct effective training sessions and communicate safety protocols clearly.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with EH&S Smart
Certification in Occupational Health & Safety (CSP, CIH, or equivalent).
Familiarity with other EHS standards and programs, such as hazard communication, machine guarding, and confined space. Why Join Us?
