Job Summary:
As a Process Health and Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing our health & safety policies and creating updates and worthwhile changes to make them relevant to our increased production numbers, bigger population of employees and new mandated policies for the manufacturing industry. You should be familiar with researching state restrictions and making informed decisions based on what you learn, holding a position of leadership and applying critical thinking and analytical skills to the decision-making process. You will prioritize employee communications to make a difference in the way they think about safety in their jobs.
Essential Functions :
Responsible for adherence to all Health and Safety rules to accomplish objectives Create safety systems for all employees to follow when operating manufacturing machinery to prevent all injuries Perform risk assessment on existing and new equipment to ensure safeguarding is in place to prevent employee injuries Maintain and enforce all safety and health policies, including those you create, already existing procedures, and policies enforced by the state and federal governments Relay information between management, outside safety agencies and employees, communicating vital information and instructions quickly and accurately Daily monitoring to ensure all manufacturing employees follow safety procedures precisely Create documents that outline all safety policies to be easily understood by manufacturing workers and management team Complete administrative duties, filling out safety reports, collaborating with management and compiling information about accidents whenever they occur to prevent similar incidents in the future Plan and lead safety workshops to guarantee all employees fully understand the safety procedures they are required to follow, taking measures to make the information engaging and interesting Responsible for
ISO 45001
certifications in leading the process and organization to successful compliance Responsible to coordinate all OSHA annual requirements take place and are successful Understands the equipment, processes, and methods of operation, can train and educate employees on safeguarding, Safety Mindset, Behavioral based thinking. Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
Associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in Health & Safety technical field 4+ years' experience in manufacturing Health & Safety preferred
ISO 45001
experience, OSHA compliance Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy in all work Ability to work effectively on own initiative and effectively contribute within a team environment Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) Proficient in the use of Excel and SPC Must already have or have the ability to obtain OSHA Certification Proficiency in the use of computers with knowledge of MS office products including
Outlook, Work, PowerPoint and Excel Pay:
$65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
