Safety Manager

Job Description

MSF Group is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and strengthen our Safety & Compliance Department. We are looking for a proactive, organized, and dependable professional with a strong background in the trucking and transportation industry who can take ownership of our compliance program and help maintain the highest safety standards across our fleet.
Qualifications & Responsibilities:
Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance. Experience in the trucking/transportation industry is required. Proficient with ELD systems (Samsara experience preferred). Knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and log auditing. Experience handling claims, accidents, citations, inspections, and violations. Familiarity with CSA/Safety Scores, driver qualification files, and compliance audits. Experience managing permits, registrations, insurance requirements, and regulatory filings. Oversee driver onboarding, compliance, and safety training. Conduct investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Monitor fleet safety performance and develop strategies for continuous improvement. Work closely with dispatch, operations, maintenance, and management to ensure compliance across all departments. Maintain accurate compliance records and prepare for DOT and customer audits. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to build accountability, coach drivers, and lead the Safety Department with professionalism and integrity.
