This pivotal role ensures that all activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations while fostering a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement in workplace safety standards, environmental management systems, and regulatory compliance to safeguard our employees, community, and the environment. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain robust EHS policies aligned with regulatory requirements such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and Workers' Compensation Law. Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, root cause analyses, and incident investigations to identify risks and implement corrective actions. Lead training sessions on workplace safety protocols, hazardous materials regulations, emergency response procedures including CPR and First Aid certification programs for staff. Ensure compliance with environmental management systems and environmental regulatory standards in all manufacturing processes. Oversee hazardous materials handling, storage, disposal procedures, and ensure adherence to hazardous materials regulations. Manage reporting requirements related to workplace safety incidents, environmental compliance reports, OSHA logs, and workers' compensation claims. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop safety initiatives that promote employee health (regulatory compliance standards) and foster a proactive safety culture. Obtain
HAZWOPER
(Hazardous Waste Operator Emergency Response) certification within 60 days of hiring; documents emergency response management if injury or spill occurs onsite. Qualifications Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations, environmental management systems, and environmental compliance standards. Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations, workplace safety protocols, occupational health standards, and environmental health practices. Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, OSHA training certifications, or equivalent are highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and report writing for incident investigations. Strong skills in training & development to educate employees on safety procedures and regulatory requirements. Experience managing workers' compensation law processes and ensuring legal compliance across all operations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead safety initiatives effectively across diverse teams. Proficiency with general computer skills and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
