Scaffolding Superintendent Oversee scaffolding operations on construction sites, ensuring safety, compliance with regulations, and efficient management of scaffolding teams. Other duties may be assigned.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervision and Management:
Oversee the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures, ensuring all tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all scaffolding activities comply with legal and industry safety standards, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments.
Team Coordination:
Plan and allocate work to scaffolding crews, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality workmanship.
Training:
Train new staff on safety protocols and proper scaffolding techniques, fostering a culture of safety and compliance within the team.
Documentation:
Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and maintenance work, ensuring accurate documentation for compliance and safety audits.
Collaboration:
Liaise with other project supervisors and management to align scaffolding plans with project timelines and objectives. Work may be performed in industrial and construction environments with exposure to weather conditions, temperature extremes, noise, dust, fumes, moving equipment, vibration, and other site-specific hazards. Employees must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and meet all customer, site, regulatory, medical, and fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the position. Position:
Education
A high school diploma or equivalent preferred Certifications/ Licenses
Relevant certifications in scaffolding and construction safety, such as the CISRS Scaffolding Supervisor/Manager Training, are preferred Experience
Previous experience in scaffolding work and supervisory roles is highly valued, along with a strong commitment to safety regulations.
