This role is critical in driving compliance, reducing operational risk, and fostering a strong, zero-harm safety culture across all site operations. The EHS Manager will be responsible for shaping and sustaining world-class safety and environmental practices while ensuring adherence to all regulatory and corporate standards. This role partners cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
Champion a zero-harm safety culture aligned with cGMP, HACCP/FSMA, OSHA, and EPA requirements.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures, and performance targets.
Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
Manage site compliance activities including permits, audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting.
Provide leadership across all shifts and ensure effective incident response and business continuity.
Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve equipment efficiency (OEE) and reduce recurring issues.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and reliability programs.
Monitor and report EHS performance metrics and recommend actionable improvements.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with all safety and environmental standards.
Advise leadership on regulatory requirements, risks, and strategic priorities. Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
4+ years of management experience (or 2+ years with a Master's degree).
Strong knowledge of food safety and GMP environments.
Demonstrated experience in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
Hands-on problem solver with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Work Environment
Manufacturing and office setting with exposure to chemicals, allergens, enzymes, and elevated noise levels.
Requires use of PPE including eye protection, gloves, lab coat, and safety footwear.
Fast-paced environment with high expectations around safety, quality, and compliance. The EHS Manager will lead and develop the site's engineering and safety-related functions while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration. Team Leadership & Culture

Promote safe work practices and reinforce a culture of shared responsibility.
Ensure performance management processes and development conversations are completed.
