Role Description The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Lead and Advisor is responsible for overseeing and advising on safety, health, and environmental practices across Bluegrass Companies' operations. This full-time remote role includes developing, implementing, and updating EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines to align with regulatory requirements and company standards. The EHS Lead and Advisor will conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and incident investigations, and will provide actionable recommendations to prevent injuries, environmental incidents, and operational disruptions. The role involves partnering with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to plan safe work execution, deliver training, and ensure correct use of equipment, PPE, and controls. The EHS Lead and Advisor will monitor compliance, track EHS performance metrics, prepare reports, and support continuous improvement initiatives across global projects. Qualifications Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, environmental compliance standards, and industry best practices relevant to demolition, decommissioning, and industrial cutting operations. Experience conducting risk assessments, hazard identification, incident investigations, and root cause analyses, with the ability to recommend practical corrective and preventive actions. Skills in developing and implementing EHS policies, procedures, training programs, and safe work practices, including emergency response and worksite safety planning. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly with field personnel and leadership, and influence EHS culture across remote and on-site operations. Proficiency in using EHS management systems, documentation tools, and reporting platforms to track metrics, analyze trends, and support continuous improvement. Demonstrated experience in industrial, construction, energy, or related sectors; prior exposure to nuclear, offshore, heavy civil, or heavy industrial environments is beneficial. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM, NEBOSH, OSHA training) are preferred, along with a degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
