Job Description

Safety Coordinator Job Description (MUST

HAVE OSHA 10 OR 30 CERTIFICATE

) We are looking for an experienced Safety Coordinator to help assess the health and safety standards in our workplace. The Safety Coordinator, with direction from the site EHS Manager, will coordinate and maintain elements of a safety program and/or environmental processing, monitoring, remediation equipment, and interface with outside vendors. You will perform routine inspection and maintain confidential and proprietary data related to member compliance, Velocity reporting, illness/injury reports, as well as proper documentation necessary for corrective actions.

Safety Coordinator Responsibilities:

Monitor staff to evaluate if health and safety policies are being followed. Assess equipment and machinery to gauge if they are in safe, working order. Help investigate on-site accidents. Create plans to improve health and safety in the workplace. Educate staff on health and safety protocols. Prepare reports for management. Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics. Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings. Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed. Documenting emergency drills-names and rollcall assistance Handles safety incentive programs. Entering FIXX Maintenance work orders into EPA folders

Safety Coordinator Requirements:

Valid competency certificates. A qualification in occupational health and safety. Experience as a health and safety coordinator. Minimum of 3 years' experience in this position. Strong communication skills. Attention to detail. Proficient in all Microsoft and Excel Applications. Extensive knowledge of health and safety protocols. Proven experience as safety coordinator or similar In-depth knowledge of OSHA guidelines and practices (MUST
