Company Overview Maas Energy Works is the leading developer and operator of agricultural waste-to-energy systems in the United States. The Company designs, develops, constructs, and operates biogas renewable energy generation systems, primarily on dairy farms. Our projects include anaerobic digesters, biogas-powered electric generation, and renewable natural gas upgrading. Position Description Maas Energy Works (MEW) is seeking a Process Safety Management (PSM) Coordinator Assistant who will support the development, implementation, and oversight of MEW's PSM and RMP programs across multiple digester and biogas facilities. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with OSHA's PSM standard (29 CFR 1910.119) and EPA's RMP requirements (40 CFR Part 68), while tailoring safety protocols to MEW's unique operational environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about safety and thrive in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Assist with coordination of Process Safety Management (PSM)/Risk Management Program (RMP) development and implementation across MEW sites. Review of contractor qualifications and safety information (contractor verification). Assist with development and maintenance of a Mechanical Integrity (MI) Program. Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure site-specific safety procedures are integrated into Project Development and Operations workflows. Coordinate with Operations to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for routine and reactive maintenance activities. Create, review, and maintain compliance documentation. Liaise with external consultants and regulatory bodies to secure proposals and manage audits. Assist with training programs and internal communications related to chemical safety and emergency response. Provide administrative support to PSM/RMP team members. Qualifications & Skills AA degree, coursework, or equivalent work experience in Engineering, Environmental Science, Safety, or related field preferred. Experience with PSM/RMP programs, process engineering, or industrial safety highly desirable. Familiarity with mechanical equipment related to chemical or materials processing and/or manufacturing a plus. Strong organizational, communication and computer skills required. Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint and a CMMS). Must be proficient in English. Physical Demand Requirements Work Environment This job mainly operates in a professional office environment, using standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Occasional travel by vehicle and airplane to dairy sites and adaptability to temporarily work outdoors at construction/dairy sites required. Physical Demands This is largely a sedentary role with some travel required. This would require the ability to walk up and down stairs, and to enter, travel in, and exit vehicles and airplanes.
