Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a 3rd Shift Sanitation Specialist and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment within our food production facility. 21 and older is a must. This energetic position is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and are committed to upholding the highest standards of sanitation and safety. As a key contributor to our operational excellence, you will ensure that all areas meet strict food safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements, supporting our mission to deliver quality products to consumers. Responsibilities Perform industrial cleaning duties across production areas, equipment, and facilities during the third shift to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met. Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection. Use commercial cleaning tools and equipment to thoroughly clean floors, walls, machinery, and other surfaces while adhering to safety protocols. Assist in the proper disposal of waste and chemical residues in accordance with environmental and safety regulations. Conduct routine sanitation inspections, document cleaning activities, and report any sanitation issues or hazards promptly. Follow GMP guidelines strictly to maintain food safety standards throughout the sanitation process. Support warehouse or food processing areas with custodial tasks as needed, including heavy lifting and movement of supplies or equipment. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a food production or processing environment is highly preferred. Experience with industrial cleaning techniques, including the use of chemical agents safely and effectively. Familiarity with GMP standards, food safety protocols, and sanitation procedures in a manufacturing setting. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measuring chemicals or recording data accurately. Previous warehouse or heavy lifting experience is advantageous for handling supplies or equipment during sanitation tasks. Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence, including proper PPE use and chemical handling safety procedures.
