GED Full Job Description Position Summary:

Patient Safety Monitor, Part-time 32 hours per week. Evenings 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Lawrence campus Under the supervision of a registered nurse, as a Patient Safety Monitor you will provide one-to-one, two-to-one, or rounding observation of patients who have been deemed a safety risk to themselves and/or others. They assist in the provision of a safe and clean environment and provide assistance with activities of daily living, when appropriate. Communicates changes in behavior / activity to the registered nurse.

EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent BCLS or Heart Savor certification Knowledge and skills necessary to provide a safe environment Possesses the judgment and ability to effectively communicate observed changes Required training to be completed within 30 days: Completion of a certified crisis intervention training program Universal precautions and Infection control Seizure safety/protocols Fall protocols/prevention
