JOB OVERVIEW
Provide services and support as a Nuclear Design Inspections (EHS Officer) in the Nuclear and Environmental Management sector, focusing on risk management solutions for the
U.S. NRC
  • HQ Acquisition Management Division.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Ensure environmental health and safety compliance during inspections. Develop and maintain safety protocols, procedures, and training programs. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments; identify and address hazards. Implement emergency response preparedness plans. Stay current on evolving regulations and guidelines. Collaborate with teams to address safety concerns and maintain secure environments. Provide recommendations to enhance safety measures and promote sustainability.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental health and safety, especially in the nuclear industry. Background in environmental health and safety with relevant technical or nuclear context. U.S. citizenship required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strategic thinking and analytical abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher) and Adobe tools. Ability to multi‑task and pay close attention to detail. Safety protocol development and training expertise.
