Job Summary Fire & Safety Instructor Large organization located in Piney Point, MD has a full time Fire & Safety Instructor position open. Duties for this position include adhering to the policies & procedures of the School QSS; teaching assigned courses in accordance with approved curriculum; subject matter expert for course development; maintaining the condition of training aids to support curriculum; participating in professional development activities developed by the School. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications for this position are possessing a valid MFRI Fire Instructor 1 or Train the Trainer (we will provide) certification; First Aid, CPR/AED Instructor Certification; working knowledge of Firefighting, First Aid, Emergency Medical Care, Hazardous Materials, Confined Space & General Safety Programs; be able to obtain Instructor Approval from the US Coast Guard; Annual Physical and Annual Respirator Fit Test. The candidate must work effectively with students of various educational levels, job titles, ages and ethnicities. Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.; proficiency in public speaking; professional certification as required by USCG; proven maritime proficiency or appropriate experience for subject matter; damage control experience is preferred but not required.
