Your expertise will help protect lives and property by thoroughly inspecting, testing, and verifying fire sprinkler systems in accordance with industry standards and local codes. Experience 5 years field work or experience in inspections NICET training preferred but not required Duties Perform comprehensive inspections of fire sprinkler systems, including testing and verifying system components such as sensors, valves, and piping. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and system design drawings to understand installation layouts and specifications. Conduct construction inspections to ensure fire sprinkler installations meet all safety standards, building codes, and project specifications. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to assess system configurations and troubleshoot issues on-site. Document inspection findings accurately through detailed reports, including system status, deficiencies, and recommended repairs or upgrades. Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and clients to ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code), low voltage wiring standards, and fire alarm integration requirements. Assist in the installation or service of fire alarm systems when necessary, leveraging electrical experience and knowledge of sensors and schematics for seamless integration. Skills Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to fire sprinkler systems and electrical wiring. Mechanical knowledge combined with construction inspection experience to evaluate system integrity effectively. Proficiency with CAD software for system design review and modifications. Hands-on experience with fire sprinkler fitting, low voltage wiring, sensors, alarms, and fire alarm sales processes. Familiarity with NEC standards, electrical systems, power tools, hand tools, and construction practices. Knowledge of fire alarm systems' integration with sprinkler infrastructure for comprehensive safety solutions. Excellent field service skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and system maintenance.
