We are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Health and Safety Professional to support the delivery of complex heavy civil infrastructure projects, including tunnels, dams, and other remote construction environments. This role will provide senior-level occupational health, safety, and industrial hygiene support to the ACP and project stakeholders. The successful candidate will evaluate contractor compliance, lead audits and inspections, support emergency preparedness, promote behavioral safety, and help integrate health and safety requirements into project planning and execution. Here's what you'll be doing Assist the ACP with the development of Employer Requirements related to occupational health, safety, and industrial hygiene for inclusion in the RIR Contract. Review and evaluate the RIR Contractor's health and safety plans to verify compliance with ACP standards, Employer Requirements, applicable laws and regulations, recognized professional standards, and other applicable regulatory frameworks. Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across tunnels, dams, heavy civil construction sites, remote locations, and other areas where work under the RIR Contract is being performed. Monitor contractor compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements related to occupational health, safety, and industrial hygiene. Lead behavioral safety initiatives and promote continuous improvement in project safety performance. Perform site inspections and audits to verify compliance with approved health and safety protocols and contractual requirements. Prepare safety reports, incident investigations, corrective action plans, and follow-up documentation to confirm timely implementation and closeout. Track, monitor, assess, and report health and safety data and performance metrics, including incident trends, audit findings, corrective actions, and leading and lagging indicators. Advise project teams and contractors on occupational hygiene matters, including hazardous exposure assessments, sampling techniques, monitoring equipment, data interpretation, and appropriate control measures. Develop, implement, and monitor safety management systems aligned with

requirements. Support the management of safety protocols and emergency preparedness plans for remote construction locations. Oversee remote-location and campsite safety, including accommodations, sanitation, welfare facilities, and related worker health and safety requirements. Propose, implement, and utilize safety management software and tools for incident tracking, audit management, corrective action tracking, reporting, and data analytics. Participate in construction, progress, coordination, and other project meetings to address health and safety concerns and support effective resolution. Conduct or coordinate toolbox talks, safety briefings, training sessions, and other safety communications. Train ACP personnel, contractor personnel, and other project participants on applicable safety practices, procedures, and requirements. Coordinate with the

Contractor, other contractors, and project participants to integrate health and safety into project planning, construction execution, and ongoing operations. Provide safety leadership by example, demonstrating integrity, sound judgment, and a commitment to protecting workers, communities, and project stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Safety, Engineering Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline with a specialization in occupational health and safety. Typically, 15 or more years of relevant occupational health and safety experience on comparable construction or infrastructure projects. Experience supporting at least one comparable project with a construction value of $100 million or greater. Demonstrated experience managing safety in remote locations and construction campsites, including accommodation, sanitation, welfare facilities, and emergency preparedness. Proven experience conducting or supporting audits in accordance with

ISO 45001

standards. In-depth knowledge of

OSHA 29 CFR

Part 1926 construction safety standards, NFPA, ANSI, and other applicable health and safety regulations and standards. Experience developing and implementing behavioral safety programs. Experience conducting occupational hygiene assessments in construction environments, including exposure assessments, sampling techniques, monitoring equipment, and data interpretation. Demonstrated experience integrating environmental, health, and safety requirements into construction project delivery. Proficiency with safety management software and data systems, including tools used for incident tracking, audit management, corrective action tracking, reporting, and data analytics. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise clients, contractors, project leadership, and field personnel. Ability to work collaboratively in complex, multidisciplinary, and multicultural project environments. Ability and willingness to travel to remote construction sites and project locations as required. Ideally, you'll also have Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification or equivalent. Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification or equivalent. Experience supporting tunnel, dam, heavy civil, or other major infrastructure construction projects. Experience developing Employer Requirements, contractor health and safety plans, or project-specific safety management systems. Experience leading incident investigations, corrective action programs, emergency response planning, and contractor compliance initiatives. Knowledge of international health and safety standards and regulatory frameworks. Experience delivering safety training and mentoring health and safety professionals and project personnel.
