Job Description

Safety Coordinator 176 Windchaser Way, Moyock, NC 27958 Full-time Full-time East Coast Demolition is seeking an experienced, motivated, and proactive Safety Coordinator to lead and oversee our company safety program. This position is responsible for developing and implementing safety policies, ensuring compliance with OSHA and customer requirements, supporting project teams, and fostering a strong safety culture throughout the organization. The Safety Coordinator will work closely with our project manager, superintendent, upper management, and field employees from project planning through project completion to ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with company standards. Duties & Responsibilities Develop, implement, and enforce company safety policies and procedures. Prepare project-specific Safety Plans, AHAs, and other required safety documentation. Attend preconstruction meetings and represent the company on all safety matters. Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and ensure OSHA compliance. Lead new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and employee safety training. Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions. Maintain safety records, reports, and required documentation. Ensure PPE, first aid supplies, and other safety equipment are stocked, inspected, and available. Work closely with Project Managers and field supervisors to promote a strong safety culture. Travel to multiple jobsites as needed. Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years of construction, demolition, or industrial safety experience preferred. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices. Experience developing and implementing safety programs. OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred. First Aid/CPR certification preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
