$130,000 - $140,000 per year Job Details - Stack Testing Engineer About the Role We are seeking a Stack Testing Engineer to support industrial air emissions testing, source sampling, and technical analysis. This role combines hands-on fieldwork with data analysis and report preparation, working directly with industrial facilities to ensure testing is performed accurately and in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Conduct and oversee stack testing and emissions sampling at industrial facilities. Test smokestacks, exhaust systems, boilers, furnaces, engines, and other stationary emission sources. Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot emissions testing equipment. Perform testing in accordance with EPA methods and applicable state and local regulations. Analyze test data, perform emissions calculations, and review results for accuracy. Prepare technical reports, sampling documentation, and testing records. Work directly with clients, facility personnel, laboratories, and regulatory agencies. Assist with testing protocols, sampling plans, and project coordination. Maintain compliance with company and client safety requirements. Travel regularly to industrial facilities, including occasional overnight travel. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field. 2+ years of experience in stack testing, emissions testing, source sampling, environmental consulting, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of EPA stationary source test methods and air quality regulations. Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Excel. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel. Preferred Experience with EPA Methods 1-4, 5, 7, 10, 18, 25/25A, 26/26A, 29 or similar methods. Experience with CEMS/RATA, particulate, metals, VOC, NOx, SOx, CO, or other emissions testing. QSTI, EIT, or PE certification. Experience with Title V, NSPS, NESHAP, or other air quality regulations. Work Environment This is a field-oriented engineering position requiring travel to industrial facilities. Candidates must be comfortable working at elevated heights, outdoors, around operating industrial equipment, and wearing required PPE.
