Full Job Description Position Overview:
The Safety Compliance Manager is responsible for leading all transportation safety and regulatory compliance activities for the company's bulk operation. This includes managing driver and fleet compliance, permits, insurance, and claims administration, safety training, accident investigations, HOS monitoring, and regulatory audits. The position ensures adherence to federal, state, and customer requirements while striving to continue improvement in safety, operational performance, and risk management. Responsibilities Support operational leadership in achieving safety goals and promoting a proactive safety culture Plan and implement safety awareness and incident prevention campaigns Monitor compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, regulatory bodies Maintain driver qualifications files and ensure required documentation is current Track and manage HOS, speed, and regulatory compliance requirements Obtain and maintain operating permits and registrations for fleet operation Conduct safety training and compliance education Administer driver onboarding and safety programs Review driver performance, violations, accidents, and roadside inspections Manage corrective action plans for safety-related incidents Investigate accidents, spills, injuries, and near-miss events Maintain accident registers and reporting Administer Drug and Alcohol program Track preventative maintenance and inspection compliance Manage insurance documentation, COIs, and compliance requirements Generate reports for management, customers, and regulatory agencies Provide HSE support Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications & Experience Minimum 3 years' experience in the transportation industry. Demonstrated experience in a Safety role. Experience with dangerous goods product handling and delivery is an asset. HS Diploma/Equivalent required. Prior experience in an on-call work environment considered an asset. Skilled in delivering training and conducting competency assessments. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive relationships with internal teams and external partners. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant systems. Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
