Full Job Description Work Schedule Comments:
Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional weekends or off hours as business dictates.
Position Overview:
The Incumbent will perform regulatory compliance and safety related tasks for the Cleveland OH terminal. The position requires interaction with company employees, independent contractors, and vendors. The position requires the specialist conduct regular in-person behavior coaching sessions with drivers as well as initial, annual, and as needed safety or regulatory compliance training. This position will require training and is open for entry-mid level candidates.. This is an in-person position and located in Cleveland, OH.
Essential Job Functions:
Conduct and coordinate new driver orientation classes Assist in recruiting qualified Owner Operators and Company Drivers Communicate and report applicant and new hire information to IMCC Conduct and/or coordinate CMV road tests for new driver Responsible for keeping inventory of ELD (electronic logging devices) equipment and ordering new equipment as needed Employee first report of injury contact for the division Receive and process (notify drivers) of IMC random drug/alcohol test notices Assist with vehicle maintenance monitoring, documentation collection and repair confirmation
Additional Responsibilities:
Responsible for ongoing and corrective action driver instruction Assist with Driver Safety Awards Presentations Apply/remove commercial truck markings according to IMC standards Monthly Maintenance reports Coordinate with third party vendors to effect repairs to company vehicles or chassis Other duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in verbal and written communication required Ability to conduct CMV driver safety and operations instruction and training Good knowledge of FMCSR and FMCSR part 395 - Hours of Service of Drivers preferred Ability and desire to promote IMC to potential CMV drivers Knowledge and understanding of truck maintenance and repair is a plus Willing to complete additional required training to improve job knowledge or skills Requires indoor and outdoor activities, to include accessing commercial motor vehicles and prolonged sitting or standing $50k-$55k salary range based on experience
