Job Description

United Dairy Farmers is seeking Sanitation Operators. This is a full- time position working out of our Blue Ash Bakery Fresh Innovation Center. Sanitation operators ensure that all equipment is clean, sanitized and ready to make crave-able delicious donuts and baked goods products. Sanitation Operators are responsible for disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing, and re-assembling all manufacturing, storage, and delivery equipment used on the facility daily. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Complete tasks outlined in the master, daily and weekly sanitation schedule or as directly assigned by the QA/ sanitation supervisor and or lead.
  • Perform all duties following company safety procedures and guidelines with focus on zero injuries.
  • Utilize, store away and measure all chemicals while utilizing the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Follow all Lock Out Tag Out procedures (LOTO).
  • Must be able to assess area after cleaning to ensure sanitation is complete
  • Inspect each other's work to make sure work is complete.
  • Must be able to partake in and complete the chemical training program.
  • Scrape, wash, and sanitize mixers, ovens, sheeter line, coolers, production lines, trays, wire baskets, racks, floor equipment, drains and trash disposal.
  • Follow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, work in confined spaces, and climb ladders, when required.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to work a rotational schedule including weekends and most holidays.
  • Utilize battery operated floor scrubbers.
  • Be able to work in wet conditions.
  • Adhere to all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP)
  • Familiarity with GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety and sanitation (i.
e.
HACCP, AIB, SQF
)
  • Ability to work with limited supervision is required.
  • Proven ability to work independently while performing a variety of sanitation and production tasks
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check & pre-employment drug screen
  • Previous experience in a Bakery or Food Manufacturing (Preferred) but not required.
  • Read, write and communicate in English.
  • Punctual and willing to work overtime when needed.
