You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of proactive risk management, protecting our workforce, and championing sustainable operational practices. Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive safety policies, ensuring all recordkeeping, monitoring, and training programs meet regulatory standards. Lead site-wide EHS audits and inspections, translating findings into actionable corrective and preventative measures to mitigate workplace hazards. Facilitate engaging EHS training sessions to empower employees at all levels with the knowledge to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Manage complex environmental reporting requirements, including air, waste, water, Tier II, and Form R documentation, while serving as the primary liaison for regulatory authorities. Oversee workers' compensation claims and accident prevention programs, utilizing data-driven insights to reduce risk and control costs. Direct hazardous material management protocols, ensuring safe handling, storage, and disposal practices are strictly followed. Perform detailed root cause analysis on safety incidents and chemical exposures to identify trends and implement long-term safety strategies. Act as the Radiation Safety Officer, maintaining oversight of compliance, specialized training, and safe operational practices. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. 3-6 years of professional experience in an EHS or industrial safety capacity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Preferred Skills Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHMM, or CIH. Specific experience with Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) responsibilities. Deep understanding of LOTO, machine safety, and LTIR metrics. Proven track record in continuous improvement and safety culture development.
