Summary:

GbOSS is looking is looking for a Site Safety and Health Officer in the Chambersburg area.

Responsibilities Essential Job Functions:

Conduct job hazards analysis to identify hazards and potential risks

Complete safety audits and ensure remedial action as necessary

Implement and enforce accident prevention plans and ensure contractor compliance

Maintains quality control by conducting daily safety walks and health inspections on the jobsite

Develop site-specific safety programs/plans to include emergency actions response, evacuations and security plans

Interpret and apply regulatory requirements applicable to the project scope of work

Ensure adherence to company safety and insurance protocols and compliance

Conduct and participate in safety and subcontractor progress meetings

Complete all reports and records in an accurate and timely manner

Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint

Excellent time management skills

Demonstrated ability to interface with clients, manage customer expectations and satisfaction, provide status reports to internal and external stakeholders

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

Ability to write plans, procedures, routine reports, operating instructions and correspondence

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with others to ensure that customer requests or needs are met Acknowledges and clarifies customer inquiries, requests, or complaints to ensure that needs are identified, documented, and addressed

Ability to handle different and unrelated processes and methods

Ability to make decisions regarding what needs to be done

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be able to obtain access to a Federal Installation

Must be able to manage projects successfully to completion, on time and within budget

Must be able to manage projects of 500K to 10 million in size

Must pass a background check

EM385-1-1
Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA, CHST, CPR

& First Aid Certified

Five years of construction experience or comparable college degree in related field. Pay and Benefits The salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 annually.
