Safety Technician serves as the key link between management and field personnel, focusing on preventing accidents and ensuring safe work practices. They develop, implement, and monitor safety programs, conduct jobsite and equipment inspections, and manage PPE programs. Key Responsibilities Plan, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs aligned with

OSHA, NFPA

70E, and state regulations. Conduct routine inspections, audits, and safety observations to identify hazards and enforce safe work practices. Facilitate new hire orientations, ongoing safety training, toolbox talks, lockout/tagout procedures, arc flash protection, fall prevention and other safety programs. Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, document findings, and implement corrective actions. Ensure adherence to OSHA standards, NFPA 70E, and company safety policies, maintaining accurate safety records and reports. Utilize analytics and metrics to monitor safety performance, predict risks, and implement proactive solutions. Support administration in completing customer prequalification.

Qualifications and Skills Experience:

 1-3+ years in electrical construction or utility safety, preferred

Education:

 Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, or a related technical field is preferred; trade experience a plus

Certifications:

 

OSHA 30, NFPA

70E, and other safety certifications are a plus

Technical Skills:

 Knowledge of electrical hazards, PPE, compliance portals; proficiency in safety software, Excel, and reporting tools. Strong communication, leadership, and coaching abilities to enforce safety policies while maintaining positive relationships with field personnel.

Pay:

From $29.00 per hour
