From our Stowe, PA, facility, we bring office and plant teams together to deliver high-quality precast solutions while maintaining a close-knit, collaborative culture where everyone contributes to getting the job done. What You'll Do as a Safety & Training Specialist Maintain a consistent presence in the plant and yard, conducting safety observations, identifying hazards, and reinforcing safe work practices. Conduct routine safety inspections of production areas, equipment, and work activities, communicating concerns and following up on corrective actions. Support OSHA compliance while helping develop and improve company safety policies, procedures, and programs. Participate in incident and near-miss investigations, documenting contributing factors and recommending corrective actions. Lead new-hire safety orientation and ongoing employee safety training. Develop onboarding, mentorship, and employee training programs, including first-day and first-week training, ongoing development resources, and hands-on instruction such as blueprint reading. Partner with supervisors and management to identify training needs, coordinate training, and track completion requirements. Support safety meetings, toolbox talks, emergency preparedness activities, and accurate safety, training, inspection, and compliance records.
Our Ideal Safety & Training Specialist Experienced:
3+ years of safety experience in a manufacturing, industrial, construction, precast, or similar environment preferred.
Hands-On:
Comfortable spending approximately 3-4 hours per day in the plant and yard, including exposure to concrete dust, noise, moving machinery, heavy equipment, and varying temperatures. Able to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, navigate uneven surfaces and stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Safety-Focused:
Experience with OSHA requirements, workplace safety practices, and employee training preferred; OSHA 30 and CPR certification are pluses.
Communicative:
Able to work effectively with employees, supervisors, and management while addressing safety and training needs.
Organized:
Strong documentation and follow-through skills for maintaining safety, training, inspection, and compliance records.
Tech-Savvy:
Comfortable using Microsoft products; Procore and Smartsheet experience are pluses.
