Lead Care Pro/ Trainer

Job Description

Lead Care Professional/ Trainer Pay:

$17.50 per hour

Schedule:

Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | Occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities as needed

Objective:

The Lead Care Professional/ Trainer is responsible for promoting a high-quality culture among Care Professionals while ensuring clients receive exceptional care. This position supports caregiver engagement, training, and development while conducting quality assurance visits and monitoring client satisfaction. The Lead Care Professional will also provide direct client care as needed and serve as a resource for both clients and Care Professionals.

Primary Responsibilities:

Reflect and uphold the core values, policies, procedures, and standards of Legacy Care Services Inc. d/b/a Home Instead. Conduct regular quality assurance visits with clients to monitor and evaluate the quality of care being provided. Cover Care Professional shifts as needed for last-minute call-offs or staffing emergencies. Train and support new Care Professionals in the field. Conduct Care Professional orientation, Bed bound training, Alzheimer's training, and Hoyer lift trainings. Evaluate and update orientation and training materials as needed. Identify training opportunities and collaborate with office leadership to support Care Professional development. Coordinate with office staff to ensure all aspects of client care and caregiver support are addressed effectively. Rotate on-call responsibilities with other office staff as assigned. Ensure all caregiving and training practices remain compliant with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Ensure Home Instead standards are consistently met and upheld. Secondary Responsibilities Serve as a backup to the Scheduling Team as needed. Maintain regular attendance at the office and in the field to effectively execute job responsibilities. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics standards. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions and responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Current, active CNA license required. Previous Professional Caregiver, CNA, home care, healthcare, or senior care experience required. At least one year of experience in home care, healthcare, senior services, training, or a related field preferred. Previous office or administrative experience preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must maintain current automobile insurance. Must complete all required internal CNA and Home Instead training. Must be comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Must enjoy teaching, mentoring, and working closely with people on a daily basis. Strong computer skills required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrates a thorough understanding of and commitment to the policies, procedures, standards, and values of Legacy Care Services Inc. d/b/a Home Instead. Excellent oral and written communication, active listening, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with clients, families, Care Professionals, and office staff. Strong leadership, coaching, training, and mentoring abilities. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team. Exercises sound judgment and maintains confidentiality, discretion, professionalism, and integrity. Strong organizational, time-management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and consistently meet deadlines. Demonstrates knowledge of the senior care industry and a commitment to providing exceptional client care. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with franchise owners, office staff, Care Professionals, clients, families, and community partners. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and standard office equipment. Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor. Flexible availability to work occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts as required.

Do you have previous caregiving, home care, healthcare, or senior care experience? Do you have reliable transportation to and from work and, when required, to perform job-related duties? Can you provide a valid driver's license and current proof of automobile insurance? Are you comfortable conducting training and mentoring other Care Professionals? Are you willing and available to participate in an on-call rotation, including occasional weekends, as needed? Are you comfortable covering client shifts when necessary?
