Role's mission Guarantee implementation, analysis, and definition of the actions to guarantee safety for all the employees in the company and any other person related with the company activity. Responsibility Areas of the Role
  • Provide, schedule, administer and coordinate mandatory OSHA training
  • Act as safety coordinator and lead the safety committee
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating SDS logs
  • Responsible for completing annual OSHA logs and notifications to include legal recordkeeping requirements
  • Responsible for near miss, accident and incident investigations and aid supervisors in conducting investigations
  • Responsible to coordinate all injuries and reporting with Workers Compensation and
TOSHA/OSHA
  • Responsible for safety audits and metrics
  • Responsible for updating all safety related training in employee training files
  • Responsible for assisting managers and supervisors in purchasing safety related supplies
  • Responsible for maintenance and distribution of PPE
  • Responsible for new hire training and compliance with new hire safety requirements
  • Work with employees at all levels to recognize potential safety observations, investigate making any needed Kaizen submissions, and 5Y investigations Understanding of environmental hazards All other safety related tasks and responsibilities Technical Competencies Advisable training/skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science is preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Microsoft Office suite
  • OSHA 30 hour certified
  • First Responder Certified Advisable professional experience:
  • Knowledge of safety and OSHA requirements,
Salary:
$70,000 to $75,000 (range DOE)
