Full Job Description Now Hiring:
Transport Safety Assistant Pegasus Intertransport is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Safety Assistant to join our team, performing crucial functions in maintaining a safe and compliant commercial trucking work environment regarding
DOT/FMCSA
regulations, CTPAT certification, and driver and fleet safety. If you're looking for a dynamic, challenging, and rewarding environment, Pegasus Intertransport is the right fit for you! No experience? No problem. This is an entry-level position, and we provide comprehensive training. Your attitude and willingness to learn matter more to us than prior experience. Responsibilities Maintain accurate records, including: Driver Qualification Files Unit and trailer maintenance and compliance documents Fuel consumption and efficiency ratios Clearinghouse drug and alcohol program Monitor and audit driver hours of service (HOS) and ELD compliance Generate and review driver performance scorecards; develop safety training materials for scheduled safety meetings Collaborate with Operations to schedule safety trainings, briefings, and meetings as planned and as needed Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing execution of the Fleet Safety Score Improvement Program Support accident procedures — track, report, and manage accident and incident investigations, record accurately, and identify root causes and preventative measures Support implementation and ongoing execution of the CTPAT process Assist in developing and implementing company safety policies and procedures specific to trucking operations, including safety performance program Qualifications English proficiency (written and spoken) required Attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to work under pressure Excellent communication skills Proficiency with MS Office Suite (including Excel) Nice to have (not required): Familiarity with FMCSA, DOT, and CTPAT safety standards Transportation industry knowledge Experience with fleet management and ELD software What We Offer Competitive pay Supportive team environment Flexibility Full-time position with stable hours Paid time off
