Monday-Friday Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated Construction Site Nutritionist to support the health and wellness of employees working on active construction and industrial job sites. This role is responsible for developing and overseeing nutrition initiatives that promote healthy eating, improve workforce wellness, and ensure food vendors provide balanced, nutritious meal options that meet the demands of physically demanding work environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about occupational wellness, enjoys working in a field-based environment, and has experience collaborating with food service providers to improve nutrition programs. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and approve menus from on-site food trucks, caterers, and mobile food vendors to ensure healthy, balanced meal options are available. Develop and maintain nutritional standards for all food vendors, emphasizing lean proteins, whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, hydration, and reduced sodium options. Partner with site leadership, occupational health professionals, and safety teams to promote employee wellness through nutrition initiatives. Conduct routine audits of food vendors to ensure compliance with established nutrition guidelines and food safety regulations. Verify vendors follow proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and temperature control procedures. Provide nutrition education through toolbox talks, wellness presentations, educational materials, and one-on-one coaching when appropriate. Develop practical nutrition recommendations designed to support employees performing physically demanding work in construction and industrial environments. Promote hydration strategies and healthy eating habits that help sustain energy, improve performance, and support recovery. Collect employee feedback regarding food quality, menu variety, affordability, and accessibility, and recommend improvements to vendor offerings. Maintain documentation of vendor evaluations, nutrition program initiatives, and compliance activities. Stay current on nutrition research, food safety regulations, and workplace wellness best practices. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Science, or a related field required. Certifications Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) required. Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) will also be considered if applicable to state licensing requirements. Current state licensure, where required. Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate wellness, occupational health, public health, food service management, or nutrition consulting. Experience working with food vendors, catering operations, or wellness programs is strongly preferred. Industrial, construction, manufacturing, or occupational health experience is a plus. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of nutrition science and dietary guidelines. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to educate diverse employee populations in an engaging and practical manner. Experience developing nutrition standards and wellness programs. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to collaborate with vendors, project managers, safety professionals, and occupational health teams. Understanding of the nutritional demands associated with physically intensive work environments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital documentation systems. Work Environment Primarily field-based at active construction and industrial project sites. Frequent walking throughout job sites and vendor locations. Occasional travel between project sites may be required.
