Safety Coordinator

Job Description

Position Overview:
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring safety related policies, forms and other documentation are up to date based on local, state and federal laws. This position will write safety policies, SOP's and other training materials.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain knowledge of current local, state and federal safety standards and laws.
  • Ensure that written safety programs and training are in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
  • Ensure company compliance with regards to safety training and practical safety applications.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective electronic training tracking systems.
  • Collaborate with Ranch Management to ensure consistent adherence to safety policies.
  • Promote a safety culture by engaging all Washington Fruit Administrative Services II employees.
  • Work with L&I Claims Coordinator to identify accident trends and respond with plans to decrease preventable accidents.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Post High School education preferred with focus on business, agriculture and/or safety
  • Strong leadership, communication (verbal/written), and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially under pressure.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and in various weather conditions.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to be insured on the company's insurance.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Work Environment
  • Indoor and outdoor work, in varying weather conditions.
  • Involves physical activity, including lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and operating equipment.
  • Requires collaboration with diverse teams, from field laborers to senior management.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
